Posted March 11, 2010 – 5:15 pm in: Freeware, Windows 7 GuidesIf for any reason, you want to change the registered Owner and Organization name in Windows 7, here is a tiny tool to do the task with ease. Though advanced users can do the same tweak by entering Windows Registry, this tool is very simple to use.
Set Owner is a small application for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 to change the previously registered Owner and Organization name. Simply download, extract and run this tool to start changing Owner name.
Those who have no idea about Owner name, one can always check registered Owner and Organization name by entering winver.exe in Start menu search field and then hitting enter. Note that if your simply run the tool you might get “failed to set data” error. So don’t forget to run this tool as administrator (right-click on the tool and then select Run as administrator).
