Cobian Backup Amanita – A Free Backup Utility For Windows

Cobian backup is very low on system resources but if you are a new user you might take few hours to get used to it. But, don’t worry there are two downloadable tutorials available to get familiar with the program. All options can be accessed from the toolbar at the top and additional features can be accessed from the menu. To create a new backup, either click New Task button or open New Task from Task menu and enter a name to the backup before customizing the backup type.
Cobian Backup Amanita lets you choose different backup types including Incremental and Dummy backup types. With Cobian Backup 8, you can automatically backup your files once, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or on a timer basis, with or without compression.
Cobian Backup 8 has integrated compression capabilities, using the standard Zip algorithm and Zip64 or SQX for large archives. All the functions in the program can be password protected, and the backup files can be encrypted using RSA (1024-256-bit), Blowfish (128-bit), Rijndael (128-bit) or DES (64-bit).
