The default Command Prompt present in Windows XP, Vista, and in Windows 7 is not customizable. ColorConsole is a free program for XP, Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems with a number of essential features not present in Windows Command Prompt. To start with, it lets you change the text color, font, and background color with a click. There are favorite commands that really help you finish off things quickly.
Cut, copy, paste, paste special, find and replace options make using this tiny console more easier. Export to HTML and RTF options allow you export the full command line. Though print and print preview features are also available, but they are still in beta stage.
The tabbed working with multi cmd.exe is very useful if you want to run two or more consoles at a time.
