This isn’t a big tweak or guide, just a simple must know thing for Vista users.Things look tough when you don’t know how to. Sometimes, you might love to remove the “Details Pane” from the bottom of the explorer for any reason. So, if you want to play with this details pane continue reading this small tutorial.
•You can disable “Details Pane” using two methods.First one is, by using “classic folders” in explorer. To do this go to “Tools” > “Folder options” and enable “Use windows classic folders”. Note that, by enabling “classic folders” you will also remove the left side “Navigation Pane” in explorer.
Here is a screen shot with no “Navigation & Details Pane”.
•Second way is, enabling “Details Pane” in “Layout” option. That is, go to “Organize”> “Layout” and disable “Details Pane”.
Note: When you enable “Details Pane”, you need to enable “show preview and filters” to see “Details Pane”.
