Desktop gadgets or widgets that display information about weather, system, and news update are becoming popular these days. We have already showcased some fantastic gadget packs, including the awesome Standalone gadget pack and 14 aero glass gadgets for the latest version of Windows.

Windows users who would like to get Mac’s Dashboard widgets on their desktop can install a free widget pack named Kludget Engine.

And the best part is this Kludget Engine designed to run widgets available at the Apple widgets page. Once installed, you can see an Kludget Engine icon in the system tray area. Right-click on the icon to add new widgets to the desktop.

To add a new widget the list, right-click on the Kludget’s icon in the notification area, click Open widget package and then browse to the widget’s Zip pack that you want to add. You can also download hundreds of free widgets from the official Mac OS X dashboard widgets page.
