The beauty of BlueStacks is that most of the apps and games run smoothly on Windows. You hardly see any crashes or other issues while running Android apps and games on Windows 10 using BlueStacks.

Installing and using BlueStacks on Windows 10

If you are new to BlueStacks, follow the given below directions to download, install and use BlueStacks on Windows 10.

Step 1: Head over to this page of BlueStacks and download BlueStacks App Player. The download size of the setup file is about 330 MB.

Step 2: Run the BlueStacks setup file. Follow on-screen directions to complete the installation.

Do note that the BlueStacks might download and install .NET Framework 3.5 if it’s already not installed on your PC. If you see the following screen, click Download and install this feature option to automatically download and install .NET Framework 3.5.

Step 3: Once the installation is complete, you will see a sign-in page where you need to sign in using a Google account. If you don’t have one, please create one. And when you are asked to sign-in to the Play Store, please do so using the same Google account.

Step 4: To install an app from Play Store, click Play Store on the home screen, and click Install button when you are an app page.

Click the app button or use Search apps to find all installed apps from Play Store.

As said before, most games run smoothly on BlueStacks. If you are not happy with the default resolution, click the Settings icon, click Preferences, click General and then select a different resolution.

Also, if a game is not running smoothly, you can allocate more RAM and CPU resource to BlueStacks by navigating to Settings > Preferences > System.

    How does performance compare with Microsoft’s emulator? I hear the Android Emulator for Visual Studio (available stand-alone at the bottom of the page) beats the pants off the Google dev kid emulator.
