Download Cumulative Security Update For ActiveX Killbits For Windows 7 RC
Posted July 17, 2009 – 12:41 am in: Windows 7Microsoft has released security updates for ActiveX Killbites for Windows 7 RC (both x86 & x64) and is available to download now.
The vulnerability in Microsoft Video ActiveX Control could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page with Internet Explorer, instantiating the ActiveX control. This ActiveX control was never intended to be instantiated in Internet Explorer.
Here is what Microsoft says about the update: Security issues have been identified in Active X controls that could allow an attacker to compromise a system running Microsoft Internet Explorer and gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
