Microsoft has released a hotfix rollup package for Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1.The hotfix contains bug fixes and many new features.

There are quite a few improvements in this hotfix rollup, which includes support for additional operating systems like Windows XP Home with SP2, Windows XP Home with SP3, and Vista Home with SP1. Additionally, Windows XP Home Premium with SP2 and Windows XP Home with SP3 are supported as guest operating systems.

Another major improvement is that the VPC (Virtual PC) now supports up to 2048×1920 (32bit) resolution, which was earlier only up to 1600 x 1200.

How to install:

*Download the .msp file from the below download link.

*In Vista and Server 2008, run the update with an elevated command prompt. Use the below command:

msiexec /p path of .msp file

* In earlier version of Windows, double-click the downloaded .msp file to kick start the installation process and then simply follow the on screen instructions.
