Microsoft has enhanced the backup function in Windows 8. In fact, Windows 8 includes a new backup feature named File History. The new backup solution automatically backs up files from Libraries, Desktop, Favorites, and Contacts to an external hard drive.

In addition to File History, Windows 8 also comes with a handy feature named Refresh PC to easily fix Windows issues without reinstalling or losing files. Another feature, Reset PC, comes in handy for users who want to quickly reinstall Windows by deleting everything. And the best thing about Refresh PC and Reset PC features is that one can launch them without booting into Windows.

Windows 8 also lets users create a system image backup but the feature comes with limited functionality.
