OpenOffice is one of the well known office suite for Windows, Mac and Linux. If there is an office suite (free) that matches with Microsoft Office is Open Office.
Open Office suite comes with almost all the features that you find in Microsoft Office. Another advantage is that it stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages.
