One of the major user interface (UI) changes in Windows 7 is that the addition of ribbon interface to Paint and WordPad program.

The new ribbon interface is really handy to navigate between the options, but many old XP and Vista users are missing their favorite old interface. If you are also missing the good old simple user interface of the Paint program, then no need to worry anymore.

Here is a standalone old MS Paint program by Sagorpirbd. That is, you need not to install or replace any system files to get your old XP Paint interface in Windows 7.

How to run XP Paint in Windows 7:

  * Download the portable Paint from this page
  * Extract the zip file to get a folder named Windows 7 MS Paint
  * Open the folder and double-click on MSPaint (.exe) file to start the XP Paint in Windows 7.

Since portable XP Paint is independent from Windows 7 Paint, you can also run the old XP standalone Paint and Windows 7 Paint simultaneously as shown in the screenshot. So, you can now experience Windows XP Paint program in Windows 7 as well.
