Download Service Pack 2 RC For Vista & Windows Server 2008 [ TechNet & MSDN Subscribers Only]
Posted February 26, 2009 – 10:57 am in: News, Software UpdatesMicrosoft has made the availability of Service Pack 2 RC for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 to the TechNet and MSDN subscribers so that they can test the service pack. Microsoft will be announcing the public availability of the Service Pack 2 RC for Windows Vista & Windows Server 2008 in a day or two.
In addition to all previously released updates, SP2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 will contain changes focused on supporting new types of hardware and adding support for several emerging standards.
The download size of SP2 RC for x86 Windows is 302MB, and for x64 is 508 MB (Refer the chart for more information). According to Brandon LeBlanc, final release of SP2 for Windows Vista & Windows Server 2008 will be done in the second quarter of 2009.
