Last week, I replaced my PC’s ASUS motherboard with a Gigabyte motherboard as the old motherboard was not functioning properly. After replacing the motherboard, I reinstalled Windows 7 and then installed all required audio, graphics and other drivers. And, when I was browsing through Gigabyte site for drivers, I came across a nice utility named FaceWizard.
FaceWizard is an official tool for all Gigabyte motherboards to personalize the default boot-up logo with a custom picture. In other words, you can easily change the default Gigabyte boot-up logo with your own picture.
This tool is extremely simple and allows you change the boot-up logo in a few steps. To set a custom boot-up logo, the picture should be in BMP format with 640 x480 dimension.
How to use this tool:
1. Download, install, and run the utility.
2. Click Select BIOS button to read and load the BIOS. Now click Load Image button to browse to the bitmap picture that you want to set as boot-up logo. Make sure that the picture size isn’t more than 150KB.
3. Click Auto button to rewrite the BIOS and save the new boot-up logo.
If your PC’s main board is manufactured by Gigabyte, then this tool one of the best official tools available to replace the default picture that appears when you turn on your PC. It’s important to note that FaceWizard software is compatible with only motherboards manufactured by Gigabyte.
If your PC comes with a motherboard other than Gigabyte, please don’t run this tool. Check out your hardware manufacture’s webpage for similar tools.
Please note that this tool can’t change the Windows boot logo or screen. If want to change the Windows 7 boot logo, please try Windows 7 Boot Updater utility.
WARNING: This utility isn’t for novice users. This is an advanced tool and should be used at your own risk. We aren’t responsible for any damage this tool might cause to your PC.
