Favekeeper: Sync Bookmarks Across Multiple Computers & Browsers

Popular web browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have options to sync bookmarks across multiple computers. But if you are like majority of Windows users you probably using two or more web browsers and have enough bookmarks saved in all browsers.

There are quite a few services are also available to sync bookmarks. Among all these services, Xmarks and Tidy Favorites are the two service that lets you sync bookmarks across computers and browsers.

Favekeeper is a free service that lets you sync your favorites and bookmarks across browsers and devices automatically via cloud. Setting up and using this service is pretty easy. Download and install Favekeeper on your machine, create an account with Favekeeper, and start syncing your favorites and bookmarks to the cloud.

When you install and setup the account, Favekeeper automatically scans Windows drive and detects all installed web browsers. The current version of Favekeeper supports Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome browsers.

Besides, when you delete a bookmark from your browser, Favekeeper doesn’t completely remove it from the cloud. Instead, it moves the deleted bookmark to Favekeeper recycle bin. So, if you want to restore previously deleted bookmarks, simply right-click on the Favekeeper icon in the system tray and then select recycle bin to access all deleted links.

How to install and setup:

Step 1: Visit Favekeeper website and download Favekeeper setup for Windows. Run the setup file and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Step 2: Once installed and running, you will see the following Favekeeper dialog:

Select I don’t have a Favekeeper account and click Next button. You will be asked to enter your email address (as user name) and password for your Favekeeper account. That’s it! Favekeeper stars scanning your Windows drive for browser installations and then uploads favorites and bookmarks from all installed browsers to the cloud.

Step 3: Install Favekeeper on all machines and sign in with your previously created account to start syncing bookmarks and access bookmarks from other computers.

You can access all bookmarks and favorites by clicking on the Favekeeper icon in the system tray. A right-click on the icon opens Favekeeper settings menu where you can set your default web browser, access deleted bookmarks, and create new account.
