Assume that you have installed Windows on your machine long time back and now, you are struggling to remember the install date of Windows for some reason. Most of us don’t need to remember the install date as we re-install our Windows twice in a month or so. But, if your answer is blue moon, read on to know how to find out the install date of any version of Windows till date.

Actually, there is nothing special tweak or hack required to find out the install date. You need to open command prompt (type “cmd” in Run dialog box) and then, type “systeminfo”(without quotes) and scroll down to view the original install date of Windows. That’s all!!

You can also check the check any folder in the system drive like “windows” and “program files”. Right click the folder, click on the properties and check under the general tab the date when the folder was created.
