Most of us use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as our primary browser. We do have two or more systems, like one at office and another at home. We browse the Internet from both the places and also bookmark interesting and useful sites that we find while browsing.

Foxmarks

Now the problem arises when you want to access bookmarks on your home computer from another system. Foxmarks is the solution for this. Foxmarks lets you sync browser bookmarks with your Foxmarks folder online. Foxmarks is a free add-on for your browser (Works for IE, Firefox, and Safari) that syncs and backs up your bookmarks across multiple computers and more.

You can install Foxmarks add-on from Foxmarks site. Once you install and restart the browser, you will be taken to Footmarks’ account registration page to create an account.

Follow the very simple onscreen procedure to set up a Foxmarks account. No need to create another account if you have already one. After creating an account, Foxmarks ‘Setup Wizard’ will pop up where it will synchronize browser’s bookmarks with Foxmarks. From now on, Foxmarks will automatically keep the bookmarks on your computer synchronized.

You can access any Foxmarks settings by clicking on the small Foxmarks icon in the bottom right of the browser. You can repeat the same procedure on any number of computers to access this account and bookmarks. Only change is that you need to select “Sync from your account” option instead of “Create an account” in the registration page.

Note that you can also use this service to Sync passwords. The good thing is that Foxmarks will not be able to view your passwords. So it’s a secure one.
