Growl for Windows is a useful notification tool for Windows. With Growl, one can view all notifications including system notifications in a customized way.

Once the Growl is installed on your Windows machine, you need to do add applications to the list to customize notification settings. To add an application, you need to download it first from the applications page. The page features over 40 applications including Windows Media Player, Media Center, Visual Studio, System Monitor, Outlook, Google Wave Notifier, Firefox, Foobar2000, Feed Monitor and more.

You can fully customize the notifications. It allows you personalize notification display type, duration, sticky, forwarding type, priority and sound. On top of that you can download fresh display themes (notification themes) from the Growl Display page.

All in all, Growl is a fantastic tool that offers you complete control over which notifications are shown and how they are displayed.
