Microsoft has rolled out a new feature named Web IM for Hotmail. Using Web IM feature, users can send instant messages from the Windows Live Hotmail and People pages. That is, you need to not have Windows Live Messenger installed to send IMs to your messenger contact.

According to Windows Live blog, users in Canada, China, Netherlands, Norway, Brazil, Germany, and USA will see the new feature for the first time today. It can be recalled that the same feature was available to France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and UK last month.
