Hotmail Gets Web IM Feature
Posted April 21, 2009 – 9:27 pm in: InternetMicrosoft has rolled out a new feature named Web IM for Hotmail. Using Web IM feature, users can send instant messages from the Windows Live Hotmail and People pages. That is, you need to not have Windows Live Messenger installed to send IMs to your messenger contact.
According to Windows Live blog, users in Canada, China, Netherlands, Norway, Brazil, Germany, and USA will see the new feature for the first time today. It can be recalled that the same feature was available to France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and UK last month.
If you have more than one Windows Live ID, you can sign in to web Messenger and regular Messenger at the same time, with different IDs. You can get more information about Web IM feature at Windows Live blog.
