How To Backup/Restore Windows 7 Bootloader

As backing up the bootloader is very essential before playing with it, this guide shows you how to backup and restore bootloader in Windows 7.
In this guide, we use the same EasyBCD for Windows 7 tool to backup and restore. Here are the instructions:
1. Download, install and run the EasyBCD utility.
2. Click on the Manage Bootloader button.
3. Under Backup and Restore Bootloader Settings option, click on the small folder button to chose your desired directory to save the bootloader backup file.
4. Click on the Backup Settings button to backup the bootloader.
How to restore bootloader:
1. Open Manage Bootloader section in EasyBCD.
2. Hit the folder button located at the right of the restore backup button to browse to the bootloader backup file.
3. Finally, click on the Restore Backup button to restore the Windows 7 bootloader.
Note: Since the EasyBCD utility was designed for Windows Vista, it will display “This only backs up the Windows Vista bootloader settings” message. Just ignore it!
