How To Disable (Prevent) Access To Any Software
Posted April 16, 2009 – 5:00 pm in: Freeware, SoftwaresIf you have been sharing your Windows computer with your friends, you might want to restrict other users from executing a specific software for some reasons.
Here is a tool that lets you lock any installed software so that other users can’t execute the file without your permission. This is very useful, especially if you are the administrator of the network, since you can have control over all installed applications on the computer.
By default, Application locker (AppLocker) shows Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Nero Burning ROM, Notepad, Calculator, WordPad, MS Painter and few other programs in the list. You can add/remove a program by hitting Configure button any time.
To unlock an application simply uncheck the application from the list and click save button.
AppLocker Features:
* Easily and instantly locks access to applications in any environment.
* Secures and enhances performance at Terminal Server and workstations by preventing execution to chosen applications.
* Prevents access to all applications by executable file.
