How To Hide Empty Drives In Windows 7 Easily
Posted July 3, 2009 – 12:07 pm in: Windows 7 GuidesUnlike earlier version of Windows, Windows 7 comes with a simple and unique option that lets you hide empty drives in Windows 7 explorer.
This option is very useful if you have multiple empty drives and don’t like to show the empty drives in computer folder (explorer). By default Windows 7 hides all the empty drives. So, to enable/disable empty drives follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to Tools > Folder options > View.
2. Scroll down the options to see “Hide empty drives in the computer folder”.
3. Uncheck the box to display all empty drives in explorer. Click Apply button to save the changes.
4. That’s all!

Unfortunately if you have the “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” selected and “Hide empty drives in the Computer folder” selected the empty drives still show up.
