How To Install Google Chrome Web Apps

Now that the Google Web Store is live with hundreds of free and paid apps, many of you might want to try out some of the free apps before installing paid apps. Of course, to be able to install paid apps, you need to have a Google account, Google checkout account, and the credit card (Discover, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Solo, or Visa Electron).

There are numerous free apps live on the store including popular apps such as Ever Note, TweetDeck, Seesmic, Google Packman game, and more. If you are willing to install free apps, here is how to install.

 

Please note that the web store apps are available only to the U.S Chrome users as of now, and requires Google Chrome 8.0 or above version.

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store in your Chrome browser, and make sure you are signed in to the Google account.

 

2. Browse the web apps available in the nine different categories.

 

3. Click on a web app to get details page. If it’s a free application, you will see the Install button along with app details.

4. Click on the Install button. All installed web apps will appear on the new tab page in browser.

 

5. That’s it.

 

To uninstall an app, right-click on the app icon that you want to uninstall, and then select Uninstall.
