Posted December 29, 2009 – 5:41 pm in: Windows 7 GuidesOne of our readers has asked how to maximize Windows 7 Command Prompt from the default size. Well, many of you might never use the good old Command Prompt, but it’s very useful to do some advanced tasks.
If you are running Windows 7, by default, you can only maximize the Command Prompt vertically. When you click maximize button, the Command Prompt will be maximized vertically. To maximize the Command Prompt window both vertically and horizontally, you need to follow the simple steps given below:
1. Open Command Prompt by entering CMD in Start menu search box and then hitting enter.
2. Right-click on the Command Prompt title bar and select Properties.
3. Switch to Layout tab.
4. Change the Width value in Screen Buffer Size box to equal to Height value or change it to your own value.
5. Click Ok button to save it.
