How To: Open & Read MS Office Files In Firefox
Posted December 23, 2008 – 6:05 pm in: FirefoxWe use MS Office in our everyday use and we have plenty of created by Office. If you ever want to open Office files without the help of MS Office, here is a small Firefox plug-in which allows you read Office documents in Firefox browser.
Download the plug-in from the below source. If you have been using Firefox browser for a while, installing plug-in shouldn’t be a problem. But as you are not downloading from Mozilla add-on site, you need to save the plug-in on your system first. After that, use File > Open option to open the extracted OpenXMLViewer_win_firefox.xpi file and install the plug-in. Once you finish the installation just restart your Firefox browser.
Now you can open your MS Office files by just opening the file in Firefox and also you can drag & drop your Office file to Firefox Window instead.
