How To Reclaim Lost Disk Space After Vista SP1 Install
Posted July 24, 2008 – 5:24 pm in: Vista TweaksAdvertisements
You might have noticed that you have lost around 800MB of C drive space after Vista SP1 install. This happens because, Vista backs up all the files which it replaces during the upgrading process. However, if your Vista is working fine after the installation of SP1 you may wish to delete these files to reclaim the lost space. Here is how to get the lost space:
1.Go to “C:\\Windows\System32″ folder and look for the executable file called ‘vsp1cln.exe’ and open the file by double clicking.
2.Press the letter ‘Y’ on the keyboard to continue the process.
3.Wait for a minute to finish the process.
4.Go to explorer to see the gained disk space.
5.That’s it.
