There are several free tools available to troubleshoot Internet Explorer issues. But before trying those utilities you can manually try to fix the problem by resetting Internet Explorer settings.

IE8

By resetting Internet Explorer settings, you return Internet Explorer to the state it was in when it was first installed on your computer. Reset option disables toolbars and add-ons, default web browser settings, security settings, privacy settings, advanced options, tabbed browsing settings, and pop-up settings.

Here is how you can reset Internet Explorer settings:

1. Run Internet Explorer.

2. Go to Tools and then click on Internet Options (or, use Alt + T + O to launch Internet Options quickly).
