How To Save Windows Updates In Vista?
Posted December 8, 2008 – 3:34 pm in: Freeware, Software, Vista Tweaks, Windows 7, Windows 7 GuidesI wouldn’t have written this article if I hadn’t read the question “How to save Windows update to install on other system with no internet?” question by a Windows user. Even you might have asked the same question yourself whenever you update your Windows via Windows Update section.
Whenever Windows gets a new security update, it’s our duty to install the update on our Windows machines. But what would you do when you don’t have internet facility to some of your systems? Leave it under threat? The other face of this problem is, we need to download (update) all the available updates each time after Windows installation. To surpass all these problems we need good software that downloads the updates and saves it so that you can use the updates on other machine which has no internet connection.

Windows Update downloader is a cool utility that fulfills all your above needs. The program weights just 278 KB and helps you download GBs of Windows updates.
When you open Windows Updates Downloader, you will be initially asked to install Update List (UL) by clicking plus icon. Once you click plus sign, you will be taken to the Update List site where you have to select your version of Windows. Within few seconds you will get a list of available updates for your version of Windows.

The good part of this freeware is, all updates are separated in different categories like Critical updates, Service packs and Others, making you choose critical updates or service pack easily. Users can select and download any specific update from the updates list which also shows the release date of update.
By default, Windows Updates Downloader saves all downloaded updates in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Windows Updates Downloader, but it can be changed to any other location as well.
