Just few minutes back, I blogged about a guide called Windows Virtual PC Evaluation that helps you install Windows Virtual PC and set up a virtual environment, such as Windows XP mode or a custom virtual machine.

As official Windows XP mode for Windows 7 will be made available soon (available on net, already), you need to check the requirements to determine whether your computer can run Windows Virtual PC. To install and run Windows XP mode you need to have these requirements for better results:

* Windows 7 RC (release candidate) or higher

* 2 GB of RAM (recommended)

* AMD virtualization (AMD-V) or Intel Virtualization technology (Intel VT)

Now, to check virtualization technology, depending on your processor, you need to use either AMD virtualization tool or Intel processor identification utility. You can download both these tools from below links.

I got a hp laptop with window vista system. They said window 7 is better. What is the advantage of window 7 with window vista? I don’t have problem in my old system. Is it advisable to upgrade it with window 7?
