How To Update Windows 7 To Windows 7 SP1 Via Windows Update
Posted February 23, 2011 – 12:12 am in: Windows 7 GuidesService Pack 1 RTM for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is now available to download from Microsoft Download Center. If you don’t like to manually download the huge SP1 file and install it, you can now update to SP1 via Windows Update service.
Updating to Windows 7 SP1 via Windows Update is pretty simple. Just follow the steps given below to install SP1 for Windows 7 using Windows Automatic Update service.
1. Type Windows Update in Start menu search box and hit enter.
2. In the left pane of Windows Update window, click Check for updates option to view available updates for your Windows 7.
3. Click on available important updates to see Windows 7 Service Pack 1 entry. Check the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 entry in the list and click Ok button. And, finally click Install Updates button to begin installing the Service Pack.
You will need to reboot your PC to complete SP1 installation procedure.
Please note that you need to uninstall Windows 7 SP1 Release Candidate before installing the SP1 RTM. You can use RT Seven Lite application (free) to easily slipstream Windows 7 Service Pack into installation DVD or ISO.

What if i changed the location of program files. SP1 changes a bunch of files, I cant edit pending.xml manually, too much work for a human. Any ideas?
