Generally, most of the computer users have 10 plus password created either for online or offline activity. We often write down them in text files and notebooks. Why not use password manager to keep passwords neatly and also safely instead of writing them down in text files?

 

You need a freeware like KeePass that stores all your online and offline passwords safely. KeePass is a free, tiny and easy-to-use password manager for Windows which helps you store and create passwords.

KeePass uses AES/Rijndael (256-Bit Key) encryption to store your password. Storing a password in KeePass is very easy and takes less than a minute to complete the procedure. Once you install the KeePass, you need to create a new database to store your passwords. Of course, there is no limit to the number of databases that can be created, but when several exist, they can become difficult to manage.

Passwords can be stored in different groups, making it easy to access the passwords quickly. KeePass even types user name and password into other windows for you. You can also enhance the ability of the program either by installing additional plug-ins from the official site or by writing one yourself. The source code of the program is also available for free!

 

You can even print the password list and also the database can be exported to various formats, making it easy to export and import the password database to and from other computers as well.
