Microsoft Surface Tablets Announced

In an unexpected move, Microsoft has announced that it will launch two tablets running its latest Windows 8 operating system. Both tablets will sell in Surface brand. Two models of Surface will be available: one running an ARM processor loaded with Windows 8 RT edition, and one with third-generation Intel Core processor featuring Windows 8 Pro edition.
Both tablets feature a 10.6” ClearType HD display and full-sized USB port. As promised earlier, Office 15 apps will be included in Surface for Windows RT tablet.

Both tablets will ship with a unique touch cover. The 3 mm touch cover senses keystrokes as gestures and will be available in a different colours.
According to Microsoft, Surface for Windows RT will be available with the general availability of Windows 8 and the another model Surface for Windows 8 Pro will be available about 90 days later.
