Good news to all Mac users who have been yearning for a taste of Windows 8 on their Mac without actually installing Windows 8 on Mac. Parallels has released an update for Parallels Desktop 7 that includes official support for the recently released Windows 8 Developer Preview.
With this update, all Mac users with Parallels Desktop 7 can now easily install Windows 8 Developer Preview on their Mac without any issues. If you are new to Parallels Desktop, it’s a paid virtualization software that helps you run Windows and Windows applications on Mac. With Parallels Desktop, you can seamlessly run both Windows and Mac OS X Lion apps side-by-side.
Existing Parallels Desktop users can update to the latest version by going to Parallels Desktop menu and then selecting Check for updates option. With the latest update, Parallels Desktop now supports Windows 8 Developer Preview, Windows 7, OS X Lion as guest on Macs running OS X Lion, Google Chrome OS, Fedora and Ubuntu operating systems.
How to install Windows 8 on Mac using Parallels Desktop:
Step 1: The first step is to download Windows 8 ISO file. You can download it from here.
Step 2: Open Parallels Desktop, select File > New. In the Parallels wizard, select Install Windows from DVD or Image file option. Then select your Windows 8 ISO file.
