Reminder: Windows 7 Beta Bi-Hourly Shutdowns Start Tomorrow
Posted June 30, 2009 – 12:54 pm in: Windows 7Attention Windows 7 beta users! Windows 7 bi-hourly shutdown will start from July 1, tomorrow. Windows 7 Beta, which was released back in January, was the first and the only official Windows 7 beta public release.
On July 1, 2009, the PC you’re using to test the Beta will begin shutting down every two hours. So, make sure that either you install the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) or earlier version of Windows. We suggest you to download and install Windows 7 RC, which is freely available for download from Microsoft.
Windows 7 RC will expire on June 1, 2010, and you’ll need to either upgrade to the final release of Windows 7 or a prior version of Windows before then.
