About nine months ago, we covered about Preme for Windows 7, a good enhancement pack for the latest version Windows. This time around, we have another nice shell enhancement for your Windows.

Second Shell is a standalone enhancement pack with a few quality enhancements. Following is the list of enhancements present the current version (2.0.1) of Second Shell:

# Maximize a window vertically or horizontally by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys

# Hold the Alt key, left click anywhere on a window and then drag the mouse to move the window

# Press the Alt key, right-click on a window and then drag the mouse to resize the window

# Right-click anywhere on a window title bar to minimize the window

# Middle-click anywhere on a window to close it

# Move a window position with Ctrl + Alt + 1-9 numeric pad keys

# Use Ctrl, Alt and (+) or (–) keys to increase or decrease a window size

As we have mentioned before, this is a portable tool which requires no installation. Simply download and run the enhancer to see a small icon in the notification area. You can find more about the Second Shell with demo videos at the developer’s page.
