Though I don’t have huge collection of MP3 songs I would love to hear high quality songs, in other words high “bitrate” songs. By default windows doesn’t show the BITRATE of MP3 files in explorer, but here I”ll tell you about a free and tiny extension for Windows which shows the BITRATE of MP3 files in your explorer with some additional information.
MP3ext is a free extension for Windows which provides some useful information about MP3 files in Windows Explorer. You can use following features after installing this extension:
#Adds additional properties tab to MP3 files
#Based on the BIRRATE, you can see different icons for MP3 files
#Adds tool tips option which shows the detailed MP3-file information when you keep your mouse over a MP3-file.
Shows the BITRATE of MP3 files with colors. When you keep your mouse over a MP3-file, then a ToolTip with information about the file is displayed.
Here you can edit the ID3 tag by selecting a single or multiple files. Additionally you can copy a field to all the other files you have selected, so you don’t have to enter the same data multiple times.
