There are quite a few features we actually miss in Windows compared to MAC and Linux. From the list, we have selected Virtual Desktop/Workspace which was introduced in Linux long time back. Apple introduced this concept with the launch of Leopard in October 2007.

Windows does not support Virtual Desktop/workspace by default. Although, there is an application called Microsoft Virtual Desktop Manager, it suffices only Windows XP users since Microsoft Virtual Desktop Manger doesn’t work fine on Vista.
After using few similar applications, we have discovered a freeware called Dexpot. Apart from typical workspace, Dexpot offers up to 19 additional work spaces to spread out your work. Dexport has many advanced settings for advanced users. Users can add favorite music as entry sound and also, different wallpapers to different desktops. Moreover, there is a portable version of the Dexpot is also available to carry it on USB stick. Download & give it try!
