Posted March 17, 2010 – 3:58 pm in: Windows 7 GuidesMost of us use Windows Media Center as our all-in-one entertainment software. If you are an avid Media Center user and would like to view YouTube, Dailymotion and Soapbox videos in Windows Media Center, here is simple way to make it happen.
A member of The Green Button forum has released an excellent plug-in for Windows 7 Center to watch YouTube, Dailymotion and Soapbox videos right in Media Center.
Simply download the plug-in from the download link mentioned at the end of the post. If you are a Windows 7 x64 user, please download the x64 version compatible plug-in from the download page. Just like any other Windows applications, installing the plug-in is very simple.
Once installed, you are good to go. Launch Windows Media Center and navigate to Extras (Extras Library) to see Macro Tube plug-in entry. Click on the Macro Tube button to get started.
Select the video streaming service from the available three options. Use the Search button provided at the top left to search the video site you are into. Enjoy!
Please note that Windows Media Center is available only in Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate editions.
