Win8CharmsGesture Allows You Access Windows 8 Charms Bar With A Mouse Gesture
Posted June 20, 2012 – 11:29 pm in: FreewareOne of the new features of Windows 8 is the Charms Bar. The Charms Bar not only lets you quickly search for files and apps but also allows you quickly switch to the Start screen, open settings, share files and more.
In Windows 8, the Charms Bar appears when you hover the mouse cursor to the upper or lower right corner of the screen. Users who are running Windows 8 on a touch screen device can swipe from the right-edge of the screen to bring up the Charms Bar. The Charms Bar can also be accessed by pressing Windows + C keys.
A while back, we shared a small utility to fully customize and tweak the Charms Bar by replacing default icons background colour and text colour. This time around, we have another small tool to share with you that lets you access the Charms Bar with a mouse gesture.
Win8CharmsGesture is a small utility for Windows 8 and allows the user to quickly bring up the Charms Bar with a mouse gesture. When the Win8CharmsGesture is running, move the mouse cursor twice in a fast sequence to the right border of the screen to see Charms Bar. This is a portable tool and doesn’t require installation.
Please note that this is the initial release of the software and may not work on some machines. We tested it on our Windows 8 RP machine and can confirm that it works. If you like the tool, you can use the start with Windows option to automatically run the program with Windows.
