Windows 7 Build 7048 Screenshot
Posted March 1, 2009 – 7:52 am in: News, Windows 7Barely a week after "Windows 7 build 7048 doesn’t exist yet” statement from Steven Sinofsky, senior vice president for the Windows and Windows Live Engineering Group at Microsoft, we have a build 7048 screenshot.
It seems that Microsoft has finally built build 7048 since we have a leaked screenshot this time to defend this build. Previously, Winfuture was the source of leaked screenshots. But this time, Mydigitallife has posted a screenshot of Windows 7 build 7048 that clearly indicates that the 7048 build is finally done.
According to the leaked screenshot, the build tag is 7048.0.x86fre.winmain.090219-1845, was compiled on February 19, 2009, 6:45PM. Last week, there were rumors that the build 7048 will be the RC (Release Candidate) build of Windows 7 and the rumored build tag was 6.1.7048.winmain_win7rc1.090211-1625.
There will be many changes in build 7048 compared to the Beta build, which was officially released in January. You can look into the "Windows 7 RC Features & Improvements“ list for information about the changes in the upcoming RC build.
