Windows 7 SP1 Build 7601.16556.100421-1510 Out
Posted May 12, 2010 – 6:30 pm in: Windows 7Yet another build of Windows 7 SP1 has been leaked to the Internet. The leaked Windows 7 SP1 build string is 7601.16556.100421-1510, which indicates that the build was compiled on April 21, 2010.
As we have reported already, Windows 7 SP1 will not come with major improvements and features. According to Windows team blog, Windows 7 SP1 includes only minor updates, among which are previous updates that are already delivered through Windows Update. SP1 for Windows 7 will, however, deliver an updated Remote Desktop client that takes advantage of RemoteFX introduced in the server-side with SP1 for Windows Server 2008 R2.
Considering that the build was compiled almost four weeks ago and is still in pre-beta stage, it’s too early for anyone to start saying anything right now. We don’t encourage users to download and install Windows 7 SP1 leaked build as it may be infected with malicious things.
