It seems that Microsoft has released the Service Pack 1 Release Candidate Escrow build for Windows 7 to select group of testers. A Microsoft beta tester has twitted that the SP 1 RC-Escrow build (7601.17104) is now available to top Microsoft partners and testers.

Even though there are no official words on the SP1 Release Candidate build yet, we can expect some official information in coming weeks. As Microsoft has mentioned before the beta release, SP1 for Windows 7 will contain only updates that have been delivered previously through Windows update service.

Users who are interested in SP1 can download the official SP1 beta build. One can always uninstall the SP1 beta by following our how to uninstall Windows 7 SP1 beta guide.
