We’ve come across fairly interesting Windows 8 customization and tweaking tools over the last couple of months. While some of them enable you missing features in the newest iteration of Windows, some of them help you personalize Windows 8 to your liking.
A couple of days ago, we covered two free tools to enable the missing Aero glass feature in Windows 8. While the WinAeroGlass utility brings Aero to Windows 8 and the other tool, Aero Glass for Win8, enables Aero with blur effect.
Users who have enabled Aero with blur effect may want to customize the Aero settings. Since there are no options to set opacity and blur in Aero Glass for Win8 tool, the developer of the tool has now released another small utility consisting options to change Aero settings in Windows 8.
Aero Glass Tweaker for Windows 8 lets you change opacity and blur settings of Aero glass that you have enabled using Aero Glass for Win8 tool. This little utility also lets you load Aero glass on Windows startup.
Please note that you can’t use this tool to enable Aero glass in Windows 8 without the help of Aero Glass for Win8 tool. You need to first run Aero Glass for Win8 tool to enable Aero glass and then run Aero Glass Tweaker to change Aero settings.
It’s important to remember that the current version of Aero Glass Tweaker is compatible with x64 Windows 8 systems only. So if you’re running x86 version of Windows 8, you need wait a little more to enable Aero glass with blur. We suggest x86 Windows 8 users to use WinAeroGlass tool.
