This isn’t a big tweak or guide, just a simple but must know thing for Vista users. Things look tough when you don’t know. Sometimes, you might want to remove the Details Pane from the bottom of the Windows Explorer for some reason. If you want to remove the details pane, continue reading this small tutorial.
There are two ways to remove the Details Pane. The first one is, by enabling the classic folders in Windows Explorer. To do this go to Tools > Folder options and then turn on the Use Windows classic folders option.
Note that, when you turn on the classic folders feature, it will remove the left side Navigation Pane from the Windows Explorer.

the second way is to enable the Details Pane option in the Layout section. That is, navigate to Organize> Layout and disable the Details Pane.
Note: When you enable the Details Pane, you need to enable the Show preview and filters option to see the Details Pane.
