The Send to menu present in explorer context menu is very useful to quickly send files and folders from one place to another. One can send files and folders to an external drive, desktop and many other locations without having to manually perform copy and paste operations.
While this is one of the best features of Windows and saves enough time, there is a shortcoming as well. By default, the Send to menu lets you send files and folders to pre-selected locations such as Desktop, Documents and connected external devices only. While one can reveal hidden locations included in the Send to menu by holding Shift key while right-clicking on a file or folder, you might want to add custom locations to this menu.
Although you can manually add new locations to the default Send to menu, here is a small tool that allows you quickly add new locations and items.
Send To Toys is a small program for XP, Vista and Windows 7 to customize the Send To menu by adding new items and locations. The toy lets you add the following entries to the default Send To menu:
- Clipboard (as name)
- Command Prompt
- Default mail recipient
- Fax recipient
- Folder (select a folder)
- Quick launch
- Recycle bin
The beauty of this program is that it doesn’t clutter your Send to menu by adding to many locations. Instead, it lets you browse to the location that you would like to send the selected files or folders to when you click Folder option in the Send to menu. It also lets you configure the default mail recipient so that you can quickly send files and folders to your friends and family.

You can personalize the default mail recipient, default folder and clipboard options. All-in-all a nice toy to quickly add new items to the Send To menu in Windows. Send to other location is also another handy tool to send files to any location from the Send to menu.
