The Pictures folder in the Windows operating system is the default folder designed to save your photos and other image files.
Like its predecessors, Windows 11 also offers multiple ways to access it.
The following are the five easy ways out there to quickly open the Pictures folder in Windows 11.

Open the Pictures folder via File Explorer in Windows 11
Step 1: Open This PC, Home, or any other folder saved anywhere on your Windows 11 PC.
Step 2: On the left pane of the File Explorer window, click Pictures to navigate to the Pictures folder immediately.

Open the Pictures folder using the search in Windows 11
Step 1: In the Start menu search field or taskbar search field, type Pictures.
Step 2: When you see the search results, select the Folders filter, and then click the Pictures folder entry.

Open the Pictures folder in Windows 11 via the Run command
Step 1: Open the Run command dialog using search or Windows logo + R hotkey.
Step 2: Type %userprofile%\Pictures (or copy and paste) and then press the Enter key to open the Pictures folder in the File Explorer.

Another way to open the Pictures folder via File Explorer in Windows 11
Step 1: Open This PC.
Step 2: Double-click the drive where Windows 11 is installed. If you do not know, the Windows logo is displayed on the installed drive.
Step 3: Double-click the Users folder.
Step 4: You should see a folder with your user account name here. Double-click it.
Step 5: Your user account’s folder shows several folders, including Desktop, Documents, and Pictures. Finally, double-click the Pictures folder.

Open the Pictures folder from the Start menu
The Windows 11 Start menu does not show the Pictures folder by default. We need to add it to the Start it.
Step 1: Open the Windows 11 Settings app. Go to Personalization > Start page to access options and settings available for the Start menu.
Step 2: Click Folders.
Step 3: Finally, select the Pictures folder by moving the toggle button next to it to the On position. This will add the Pictures folder to the Start menu.
Step 4: From now onwards, you may open the Start menu and then click the Pictures folder (Pictures icon next to the power button) to open it.
