Microsoft has finally released Windows 11 24H2 to the general public and is now available to everyone. 24H2 is the third major/feature update to Windows 11 after 22H2 and 23H2. As you might already know, Windows 11 24H2 has been available on ARM-powered PCs for about four months now.
Windows 11 24H2, the latest version of Windows 11, brings in many new features and improvements across the operating system.
There are a couple of ways to update your Windows 11 installation to the Windows 11 24H2 version. You can use the Windows Update, Windows Installation Assistant, or Windows 11 24H2 ISO file to upgrade your current version of Windows 11 to 24H2.
Needless to say, when you upgrade your Windows 11 installation to 24H2 via the Installation Assistant or Windows Update, all installed apps and your files will be preserved.
In short, you can update to Windows 11 24H2 without losing apps and data. That said, remember that the WordPad program might not be available when you upgrade to 24H2.
