Method 1 of 7
Open Notepad via search in Windows 11
The easiest way to launch the Notepad app is to use the search functionality.
Step 1: Type Notepad in the Start menu search field or taskbar search box and then press the Enter key.

Launch Notepad via File Explorer in Windows 11
Step 1: Open any folder, This PC, or Home.
Step 2: In the address bar of the File Explorer, type Notepad and then press the Enter key to open the Notepad app.

Use the Run command to open Notepad in Windows 11
Step 1: First, open the Run command dialog by right-clicking the Windows logo button on the taskbar and then clicking the Run option. You can also use the Windows logo + R shortcut to open the Run dialog.
Step 2: In the Run dialog box, type Notepad or Notepad.exe and then hit the Enter key to launch the Notepad app immediately.

Step 1: Open PowerShell or Command Prompt using the search. No need to open the Command Prompt or PowerShell as an admin.

Open Notepad quickly from the taskbar by pinning it to the taskbar
Step 1: Launch Notepad using one of the methods mentioned above.
Step 2: Right-click the Notepad icon on the taskbar and then click Pin to taskbar to pin the Notepad icon to the taskbar.
Step 3: From now on, whenever you want to launch the Notepad app, click the Notepad icon on the taskbar.
