How To Import Wunderlist And Todoist To Microsoft To-Do

Last Updated on October 14, 2020 by admin 6 Comments

Microsoft To-Do is a brand-new task management app from Microsoft for Windows 10 devices, iPhone and Android. The Microsoft To-Do app comes from the team behind Wunderlist which was acquired by Microsoft about two years ago.

As the Wunderlist team is developing Microsoft To-Do, it has a striking resemblance to Wunderlist. Users who have used Wunderlist before will feel at home. Like Wunderlist, Microsoft To-Do is extremely easy-to-use.

Microsoft To-Do currently lacks a couple of features offered in Wunderlist. That said, To-Do will get all feature of Wunderlist and more in coming months.

Microsoft has said that it will retire the Wunderlist once all Wunderlist features are available in its To-Do app. So, if you are a Wunderlist user, you will have to switch to Microsoft To-Do in a few months.

For users who are switching from Wunderlist to To-Do, Microsoft has made easier to import all Wunderlist data to Microsoft To-Do. In addition to Wunderlist, Microsoft To-Do can also import your lists and tasks from Todoist.

Too bad the original blogger is no longer monitoring this page. It should no longer come up on search for importing from todoist.

CANCEL MY PREVIOUS COMMENT! Whoa! Five minutes later that giant list has found its separate list headings and is now organized! Can’t tell yet if it’s going to find the folders too but Wunderlist promised any features not yet available would be soon. Fingers crossed.
Note to Microsoft – My lists are not all to-do items! I keep lists of things that are in the freezer (so my husband knows – we shared that list), books that have been recommended, measurements (so I have them when I come across something in the store “will this curtain rod fit that window?”) etc.
I always hoped to have a “restore” feature so I could check off (for example) the exercises I had to do every day after I broke my wrist (there were a lot of them) and the restore them for the next day.

While Wunderslist is shown, I do not see an option to import from Todoist. Is the Todoist option no longer available? (10/13/17)
