The Photos app in Windows 10 is not just the default picture viewer in Windows 10 but offers plenty of tools to edit photos and videos. We have already discussed adding slow-motion effect to video files using the Photos app. This time around, we will discuss how to use the Photos app to trim videos on your Windows 10 PC.

Since Photos app is a basic editing tool, you cannot use it to trim multiple portions of a video file at once. For instance, in a five-minute video file, you cannot trim the video from two to three minutes and then four to five minutes.

When dragging to where I want the video to begin or end, I cannot drag to a specific second. It only gives me options every 8 seconds. Is there a way to select more precisely?

Ron, i think you can find this in perhaps ‘exported videos’ file which microsoft may have made up for you. go to windows search (with the magnifying glass) and see if such a file exisits. Usually the new video file will be sitting next to your original file in whichever folder your original video was saved in.
