How To Reinstall Fingerprint Scanner Driver In Windows 10/11

Last Updated on February 29, 2024 by admin 2 Comments

Most mid to high-range laptops ship with a fingerprint scanner or reader so that users can sign in to their Windows 10/11 laptop by keeping or swiping a finger on the fingerprint scanner. A large number of PC users now use fingerprint sign-in instead of the old-style password as it’s easy to use and safe.

If you have set up the fingerprint sign-in on your Windows 10/11 laptop and it does not work, you can try reinstalling the fingerprint driver. This guide shows you how to reinstall the fingerprint driver on a Windows 10/11 laptop.

Steps to reinstall the fingerprint driver in Windows 10 or 11

Step 1: Open the Device Manager through search or right-clicking on the Start button (Windows logo icon on the taskbar) and then clicking the Device Manager option.
